I started to enjoy photography in high school and my plan was to become a photojournalist. I found a love for taking photos and captured images of anything and everything to practice and learn how cameras worked. I took an intro to photography class in college and learned how to photograph on film and develop my own negatives in the darkroom. Since high school, my subject matter changed from objects and landscape to people. I spent a couple years in Mazatlan, Mexico with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) where I was on staff with the Media Department. I learned so much during my time there and really ventured out and found a love for videography as well. I love not only the process of filming and ph0tographing, but the editing process, too. The past few years I have taken portraits of children, families, couples, and graduates as I worked full time in child care and now, as a Registered Behavior Therapist for children on the Autism spectrum. On the weekends, you can find me spending time with my three best men: my husband Caleb and my two hounds, Winslow and Hank. (photo cred: Maedon Moments Photography, LLC)
